Anne Myers Finney

Anne Myers Finney, 98, of Petersburg died Friday, October 26, 2012 at The Petersburg Home for Ladies. She was a native of Petersburg, born the daughter of the late H. Carter Myers and Mary Gee Myers. Mrs. Finney was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation. She was a proud and dedicated member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Petersburg her entire life. She was an avid bridge player and member of the Country Club of Petersburg. Mrs. Finney was the widow of George B. Finney, Sr. and is survived by her three sons, George B. Finney, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Midlothian, Harrison C. Finney of Frisco, NC, and R. Gordon Finney and his wife Barbara of Petersburg; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Bottoms of Midlothian, Anna Miles of Woodbridge, Jane S. Finney of New York City, Harrison C. Finney, Jr. of Greenville, SC, and Jennifer L. Mullins of Mobile, AL; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 29th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Petersburg with Rev. Rick Greenwood officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, weather permitting. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to The Petersburg Home for Ladies Fellowship Fund, 311 S.
