Anne Beville Roberts

Anne Beville Roberts, 82, of McKenney, VA, widow of William Ernest Roberts, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016. Raised in Sutherland and McKenney, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Goode and Mary Erma Beville Heartwell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas G. Heartwell, Jr. Mrs. Roberts worked at Rochester Button Company in McKenney until it closed, and then became a longtime employee of the Nottoway Restaurant. She was a member of Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Dance and husband Jack of Matoaca; granddaughter, Ashley Creath and husband, J.J. of McKenney; step-grandson, Bryan Dance of Church Road; great-grandson, William Creath; aunt, Dorothy Beville of Sutherland; devoted friend, Jessie Foster, as well as numerous other relatives. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at 12:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Park, 18599 Hwy 1 North, LaCrosse, VA 23930.
