Anne S. Minton

Mrs. Anne Caroline Smith Minton, born March 31, 1918 died on Tuesday, July 27, 2004. She was the widow of Burton F. Minton, was a Petersburg native and a graduate of Petersburg High School. She is survived by her two sons, Robert and his wife June and David and his wife Jillian; two grandaughters, Imogen and Marilyn; one grandson, Timothy; her first cousin, Laura Perkins of Hopewell. Mrs. Minton was an active, long-time member of First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 31 at First Baptist Church, 235 West Washington St. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church in Mrs. Minton’s name.
