Anne Wells Scott, 55, a longtime resident of Colonial Heights, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Marvin and Anne Webster Wells, and her brother, James Wells. A member of the Swift Creek Women’s Club, Anne was involved in numerous activities in her community. She enjoyed cross stitch, painting, making stained glass, and other forms of arts and crafts. A kind hearted and caring lady, Anne was always thinking of and doing for others. She had an incredible fondness for animals and spent much of her time caring for her own pets as well as animals she had rescued. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Scott; sons, David B. Suda and Jamie Scott and wife, Azia; grandchildren, Lindsey Scott and McKenna Scott; uncle and aunt, Mark and Gail Wells; cousins, Nicole Wells and Ashley Wells. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, in the Activities Building at Matoaca United Methodist Church, 6301 River Road, Matoaca, VA 23803.
