Annie Merhout Cacek

Annie Merhout Cacek, 94, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2013, at the residence of her daughter, after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Frank Cacek and the daughter of the late Frank and Albina Sebek Merhout. In addition, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Merhout and brothers, Joseph Merhout, Frank Merhout, and James Merhout. She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Cacek of Prince George; her sons, John Cacek and wife, Lou of Dinwiddie, and Paul Cacek and wife, Cynthia of Prince George; her grandsons, Eric Cacek, Brian Cacek, Jeffrey Coleman, and Kenneth Coleman; and a dear friend, Betty Cairnes. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 p.m. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Southlawn Memorial Park.
