Annie Rollings

Annie Elvira Burkett Rollings, 93, of Anchorage, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday, July 27, 2006. Born in Wakefield, Virginia on August 3, 1912 she was the daughter of the late Abram Joseph Burkett and Frances Walker Burkett and the eldest of ten children. She was a member of New Life Church, Goose Creek Rd., Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Arrington Rollings, Sr., son, Joseph Delano Rollings, brothers, Bruce Burkett (Lois), Burge Burkett (Doody), and sister, Gini Vernsel (Bob).

She is survived by daughters, Frances Jarrett, Dorothy Riden, and Jean Vincent (Joseph); son, Warner A. Rollings, Jr. (Ruth); sisters, Bonnie Newman, Lee Keefer, and Eunice Warthan (Marvin); brothers, A. J. Burkett (Rachel), Wallace Burkett, and Charlye Burkett (Patsy); stepsister, Teresa Belscher (Sheldon); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 31, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, with the Rev. Percy Hughes officiating. Committal services will follow in the Rollings Family Cemetery outside of Wakefield. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday morning.
