Annie Mae Hamlin Perkinson

March 14, 1932 — April 13, 2013

Mary Edith Wells Perkinson, 81, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013. A lifelong resident of Dinwiddie, she was the daughter of the late George Collier and Sylvia Griswold Wells. Mrs. Perkinson was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and most recently attended Crawford United Methodist Church. She was skilled at making handcrafts. Her talents included sewing, knitting and smocking. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Perkinson was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Wells and Joyce Williams. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clifton Floyd Perkinson; children, Larry Perkinson and wife, Marcia, Brenda Reese and husband, Ronnie, and George Perkinson and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Timmy Perkinson, Mark Reese, Nicholas Perkinson and wife, Megan, Amy Rainey and husband, Billy; and Hanna Perkinson; great-grandchildren, Kayla Reese, Caden Rainey, Nolan Perkinson, and Easton Rainey; sisters, Ella Mae Chappell, Virginia Chappell and Jean Sharp; brothers, William Wells and George Wells; and her close friend, Peggy Lamm Avery. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with The Reverend Tom Lester officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and food, donation may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018 or Crawford United Methodist Church, P. O.
