Anthony Raquan Hunter

Anthony RaQuan Hunter, 23, of Prince George, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, October 08, 2023. He was known for his infamous debates, loved traveling and spending time with friends and family. Anthony never met a stranger. He saw good in everyone and helped everyone strive to be their best self. A graduate of Prince George Highschool c/o 2018, with some college at Old Dominion University and The Citadel. Mr. Hunter was a Deputy at Norfolk Sheriff's Office and held various positions as a Security Specialist. Anthony's career spanned from retail all the way to law enforcement; He touched many lives.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparent, Kinnie Hunter; maternal great-grandparents, Odessa and Oscar Hunter, Earnest and Helen Roberts; paternal great-grandparents, James Alston, Emma and Herbert Campbell. He is survived by his mother, Shalawn Hunter-Alston; father, Anthony Alston; siblings, DeQuan Hunter, Whitney Hunter, Jasmine Alston, Justin Alston; maternal grandparent, Sara Hunter; paternal grandparent, Anthony Campell (Lanna), Deborah Alston-Barr (Terry); great-grandparent, Helen Alston; nieces and nephews, ZaMeir Glover, Quaniyah Hunter, Aamani Hunter, Rhiann Hunter, DeQuan Hunter, Jr.; best friends (like brothers), Cameron, Chance, Zekiah, Gabe, Bryant, Ryan; and a host of aunts, uncles, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home.
