Ardella Retta Peppers

Ardella Retta Peppers, 87, of Chester, passed away on January 23, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Brooks Gent, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ty Peppers Sr.; and two sons, Gary E. Peppers and Kenneth A. Peppers. She was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church. Mrs. Peppers spent many days at Hopewell Nursing Home organizing birthday parties and activities. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Peppers is loved and will be missed by many. She is survived by four sons, Wayne M. Peppers (Katie) of Chester, VA, Leroy D. Peppers (Linda) of Florida, Charles E. Peppers (Michelle) of Portland, OR, and Ty Peppers Jr. (Brenda) of Montpelier, VA; two daughters, Teresa L. Cousins (Randy) of Varina, and V. Renee Eubanks (Patrick) of Surry; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and two daughters-in-law, Kim Peppers of Leesburg, and Joyce Peppers of Enon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the funeral home with the Pastor Michael Moore, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
