Arlene Evelyn Baggett

Arlene Evelyn Baggett, 87, of Henrico, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014. She was born in Trevilians, VA, on September 27, 1926, to the late Austin and Katherine Hood Shumake. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Durward Earl Baggett, Jr., retired Principal at Tuckahoe Elementary School, Henrico. She is survived by son, Durward E. Baggett, III., and his wife, Yunsun; daughter, Patricia B. Samuels and her husband, Robbie; grandson, D. Earl Baggett, IV., and his wife, Patricia; two great-grandsons, Andrew Earl Baggett and Matthew Alexander Baggett; two brothers, A. W. Shumake, Jr. and Bobbie Shumake. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Southside Baptist Church, 6000 Ironbridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234.
