Arthur Samuel Barker

Arthur Samuel Barker, 76, of Dunnsville, passed Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Dinwiddie, he was the son of the late William S. Barker and Ethel Thomasson Barker. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Barker. Arthur is survived by his significant other, Mary Ann Brown; daughters, Teresa Hughes, Sheila Coleman, Tammy Wiggins, Wendy Bell, and Brandy Cleveland; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed working on his race car, boating, fishing, and camping. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Prospect Christian Church Cemetery, 13422 White Oak Rd. Dewitt, VA 23840.
