Arthur Edwards

Arthur W. Edwards, Jr., 75 of Hopewell, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Edwards retired from the U.S. Army as a Sgt. Major, and was a retired District Manager with The Richmond Times Dispatch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur W. Edwards, Sr. and Rosa Lee Broadwater Edwards, his wife, Minnie Ballard Edwards, and son-in-law Rick Hicks. Mr. Edwards is survived by three daughters, Brenda K. Hill and her husband Wesley, of Hopewell, Elizabeth E. Gray and her husband Horace, Jennifer E. Hicks, all of Richmond, one son, Michial G. Edwards, Sr. and his wife Anne of Waverly, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one sister, Helen Dunson of Auburn, AL and a brother, Winston Edwards of Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 22, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
