Arthur Montague

Arthur Edward Montague, 73, of N. Dinwiddie, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sue Montague. Arthur served honorably in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. He served three tours in Vietnam with the Marines before transitioning to the Army, where he lived in both Korea and Germany. In total, Arthur spent 20 years in the military prior to his retirement at Ft. Lee. Arthur also appreciated playing chess and cards with his family, spending time outdoors in nature, and enjoying a good meal. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Montague; children, Alexander Montague (Paula) and Amanda Moe (Scott); and grandchildren, Olivia Rodriguez, Andrew Montague, Carter Phillips, and Abigail Montague. A graveside service will be held at Virginia Veteran's Cemetery; the date will be announced in the upcoming days. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff in the ICU at Southside Regional Medical Center for their care and kindness towards Arthur and their family.
