Aubrey Britt

Aubrey L. Britt, 79, of Prince George died at his home on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Aubrey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, â??Paâ?, mentor and life long friend to many. He retired from Defense General Supply Center after 37 years of employment. Aubrey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah S. Britt; daughter, Sharon Atchley and her husband, Keith; grandchildren, Joshua Atchley and his wife, Stephenie; Jacob Atchley and his wife, Lindsey; great grandchildren, Franklin, Aubrey Lillian, Cassidy, and India; brother, David Britt and his wife, Nancy; and brother-in-law, Ellsworth Spain and his wife, Kay. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home tonight, Friday, July 24, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Blandford Cemetery with his grandson, Jacob Atchley officiating. The family will have nine of Aubreyâ??s closest friends serving as honorary pallbearers and they are, Lee Gochenhour, DeWitt Hall, Sam Pace, Robert Hutto, David McGehee, Benton Ward, Jack Branch, Kenneth Jones and Fred Jibbens.
