Aubrey Edwards

Aubrey Cameron â??Sluggerâ? Edwards, Sr., 86 of Petersburg, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Petersburg and predeceased by his parents Wilton F. and Margaret Keightley Edwards, along with his brother Clifford Edwards. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. He is survived by his son, Aubrey Cameron Edwards, Jr. and wife, Dianne Riddle; one granddaughter, Ashlee E. Edwards; two brothers, John â??Tater Bugâ? Edwards and Jack Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, June 17, 2011 at Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, 17120 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
