Audrey Grace Butterworth

Audrey Grace Butterworth, 93, of Prince George, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Laurie Stone Grace; husband, Abner Winn Butterworth, Sr.; son, Abner Winn Butterworth, Jr.; and three nephews, Jay, Curtis and David Butterworth. Audrey was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. She loved to play bridge and golf and will always be remembered as the sweetest, kindest, most unselfish person anyone had ever met. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie B. Passopulo (Kirk); four grandchildren, Steven Passopulo, Philip Passopulo, Nicholas Passopulo, and Carman Faison (Justin); two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Grady Faison and Winnie Grace Faison; nephews, Larry Butterworth (Judy), Mark Butterworth (Mary), Bruce Butterworth (Patricia), Brad Butterworth (Jackie), Todd Butterworth (Jan), Stewart Butterworth (Jeanne), Chris Butterworth, Craig Butterworth, Detmar Straub, Tom Pentecost (Leann) and Harold Grace; nieces, Ruth Butterworth (A.J.), Barb Butterworth (Phil), Cathy Norman (Dave), Sudy Balmer (John), Cheryl Ann Miller (Jim), Donna Butterworth and Susan Butterworth; special caregivers, Sylvia Shepperson, Carsey Meredith, Jeanette Russell and Marguerite Hill; and many kind and sweet friends. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 225 Claremont St., Petersburg, VA 23805. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church or to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
