Audrey Cuddihy

Audrey Poland Cuddihy 95, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday July 3, 2011.
She is preceded in death by her father, Peter Poland; mother, Ida McClary Poland Kuykendall; step-father, Charles. C. Kuykendall; husband, John James Cuddihy Jr.; son, John James Cuddihy III; daughter, Lois Cuddihy Johnson; and sister, Arline Phillips. Mrs. Cuddihy is survived by her daughters, Marian Turner and her husband Marshall, Linda Lewis and her husband Reuben, Sandra Lyttle and her husband Coleman, Nancy Cuddihy; grandchildren, Renee, Lisa, Bruce, Amy, Kimberly, Laura, Tamara, Rodney, Jillian, Meredith, Coleman Jr., Audrey, John; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Mrs. Cuddihy was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening, and working on arts & crafts especially down at the Hopewell Community Center. Mrs. Cuddihy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service, where services will be held 10am on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 with interment to follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
