Audrey Hamilton Doucet

Audrey Hamilton Doucet, 94, of Petersburg, VA., passed away, Friday, June 9, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Esther Herbaugh Hamilton. Audrey was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Petersburg Garden Club; she enjoyed traveling and spending time at Colonial Beach and she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Petersburg. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, CDR Louis E. Doucet, USN (Ret.); children, Louis Doucet, Jr. and wife, Carol, Dennis Doucet and wife, Judy and Deborah Doucet; grandchildren, Jennifer Dotson, Sharie Ferrell and husband, Mike, Dwight Doucet and wife, Yvonne; great-grandchildren, Chelsee, Joey and Jason Dotson, Hannah and Hailey Ferrell, Zoe and Serena Doucet; great-great-grandchildren, Audrey Powell, Autumn Dotson; sister, Mabel Yoho and husband, Gene; brother, Robert Hamilton and close family friend, Lucy Dorr. A service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams St. Petersburg, VA., the family will be receiving friends 1 hour prior to the service.
