Marshall, Audrey Gray Houston, 78, of Hopewell passed away on May 31, 2011 after an extended illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Nelson (Tommy) Marshall; two sons, Nelson Marshall, Jr. (Carol), Robert Marshall (Mindy); and two daughters, Darlene Anthony (Oscar) and Tamara Crawford. She has 12 grandchildren, Adam Marshall (Laura), Brian Marshall (Amy), Sean Marshall (Sarah), Chris Marshall, Nick Marshall, Drew Marshall (Brittaney), Allison Marshall, Jessi Kocher (Brandon), Evan Anthony, Jodie Anthony, Kennis Crawford, and Grayson Crawford; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is survived by two sisters, Ida Bottorf, and Annie Soles; and a brother, Aubrey Houston; and preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. Audrey was a former employee of the Chesterfield County School System; and a long-time, active member of Enon Baptist Church and formerly a member of Kingsland Baptist Church. Audrey volunteered in many church activities and visited nursing homes. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling, baseball, and family activities. Donations can be made to the Vasculitis Foundation, P.O. Box 28660, Kansas City, MO 64188-8660. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home at 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Road, Chester, VA. After the service interment will occur at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, VA. Condolences to the family may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com .
