August A. Kraft Iii

August A. Kraft, III “Kit” passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2017 at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Kit was born on August 26, 1944 in Hampton, VA. After graduating from Ferguson High School, Newport News, in 1964 he joined the United States Air Force. Following his service in the Air Force, he began a career in finance at Wheat First Securities. He then retired as Vice President of Operations at Wachovia Securities. Kit was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Butler Kraft and August A. Kraft, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Walker Kraft; two sons, Kayce (Jodi) and Travis (Adrienne); 6 grandchildren, Auggie, Kaycen, Joseph, Anna, Reese, and Madelyn; two sisters, Mitzi Fields and Barbara Kraft. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831, with the Rev. Jay Carey, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
