Ava Belcher

Ava Inez Dixon Belcher, 91, of Petersburg died Monday, December 26, 2005 at Southside Regional Medical Center. A native of Bracey, VA she was the daughter of the late Thomas Gaither and Nishia Belle Stroup Dixon and the mother of the late Joyce B. Burdzel. She was a member of Gill Grove Baptist Church and was retired from the former Sandlers Inc. She is survived by a daughter; Nancy Belcher Frazier of Chesterfield, five sisters; Edna D. Gates of Richmond, Frances D. Boyd of Petersburg, Lorene D. Pittenger of Sturgis, Michigan, Bobbie D. Perkinson of Chester and Katholeen D. Willis of Richmond, grandchildren; Michael J. Burdzel, Amy B. Harris, Jason C. Frazier, Matthew R. Frazier and Lauren E. Frazier, great-grandchildren; Lucas R. Frazier, John R. Harris and soon to be expected, Katie Ann Harris. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Gill Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
