Barbara Burt

Barbara Grubb Burt, 72, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011. She was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Fort Lee after 20 years. Barbara loved sewing, quilting, and woodworking. She loved her three dogs, Brandy, Mandy, and Emma. If you ever needed help you could always depend on her. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Willard Grubb and Minnie Buck Grubb and a brother, Leslie Grubb. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Doug Burt; daughter, Kelly C. Woods and husband, Tommy of Dinwiddie; sons, R. Scott Cleveland and wife, Monica of Disputanta and Douglas A. Burt of Chesterfield; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Saunders and husband, Minor of Craig County, VA and several aunts and a nephew. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 7 to 8:30 pm.
