Barbara Jean Catlett

Barbara Jean Catlett, 81, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary Hasty; her loving husband of over 59 years, James R. Catlett, Sr.; son, James R. Catlett, Jr.; grandchildren, April Lamkin and Jerry Shackelford; and her sister, Peggy Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Shackelford and husband, Richard; daughter, Brenda Catlett; son, John Catlett and wife, Joanne; son, Phillip Catlett and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Andy Shackelford and wife, Samantha; Lori Henshaw and husband, Otis; Jowanna Medina and husband, Eddie; Virginia and Hope Catlett; Aaron, Bradley, and Kendall Catlett; and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel.
