Barbara Gail Meanley

Barbara Gail Meanley, 75, of Chesterfield died peacefully on December 28, 2017. She was born in Lynchburg, VA, the daughter of the late John William Updike and Kathleen Keesee Bland. Mrs. Meanley retired from Philip Morris after 33 years of service. She had a love for both animals and traveling. Her love of traveling took her across the world for both work and leisure. Mrs. Meanley was also a faithful contributor to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, LouAnn May and her husband, Ron; and one grandson, Brandon May. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 31st at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to cancerlinc.org.
