Barbara B. Minson

Barbara B Minson, a resident of Chesterfield County, Va., died on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Petersburg, Va., at the age of 87. Born in Chesterfield, she was the daughter of the late, Horace D. Bookman and Marian Bookman Mayton. Barbara was a life-long member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Winfred Minson, Sr. and a son, Aubrey W. Minson II.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Minson, Sr. and wife, Rhonda; a daughter, Shelley Rose and husband, Lester; a devoted daughter-in-law, Diana Minson, 5 grandchildren, Kenneth Minson, Jr., Kevin Minson, Travis Minson, Erika Dobson and Austin Fisher; 4 great-grandchildren, Abby, Kelly, Alayna and Adryana; and a sister, Carol Young. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park Chester, Va. with the Rev. Anita Mays-Lucord, officiating.
