Barbara Matthews Montgomery

Barbara Matthews Montgomery, 79, of Chester, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of Life Church for thirty-one years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Virginia Matthews; and her sons, Rev. Sherman I. Montgomery and David A. Montgomery. Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert D. Montgomery; sons, Kenneth L. Montgomery Sr., James L. Montgomery and his wife, Kim, Douglas W. Montgomery and his wife, Stacy, and Loran C. Montgomery and his wife, Tera; daughter, Charlene M. Carriker and her husband, Charley; daughters-in-law, Leslie Lute and Lisa Winslow; brother, Joseph A. Matthews Jr. and his wife, Anne; twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
