Barbara C Moody

Moody, Barbara Clements, 81, of Hopewell, VA, passed away while surrounded by her loving family, on January 11, 2024. She is survived by her son, Kirk R. Moody and wife, Charla; son, Mark D. Moody and wife, Tammy; siblings, Patricia Moody and Brenda Roberts (Moore, OK); four grandchildren, Austin Moody (Kim), Zachary Moody, Landon Moody, and Morgan Moody; and two great-grandchildren, Caroline Moody and Mavis Moody. She loved her grandchildren, as well as, her many nieces and nephews. She always had a servant's heart for family and friends. She had served in the Women's Ministries and taught Sunday School for children at Abundant Life Church. She enjoyed sharing the love she has for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She retired after years of working in Kenner Hospital at Fort Lee, VA. Her second career was in education for the Hopewell School System as a substitute teacher. Her passions included cooking, reading Christian novels, Hallmark movies, and spending time with her great-grandchildren, Caroline and Mavis. She also loved to sing in the church and direct weddings. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024, between the hours of 6 pm and 8 pm, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, at 820 W. Broadway Ave. Hopewell, VA 23860. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home, at 11 am, on Monday, January 22, 2024, with interment to follow at Bermuda Memorial Park.
