Barbara Braiden Moore

Barbara Braiden Moore, 89, of Petersburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Amelia Ann Henning. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Dr. Kermit Jackson Moore. She is survived by 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Barbara was a graduate of Petersburg High School, and then went on to work as a real estate appraiser and a nurse. She was a member of the Petersburg Country Club, the Appraisal Institute, and the Richmond Association of Realtors. Barbara enjoyed playing tennis and golf, traveling with her family, and serving on the Alter Guild at St. Michaels Episcopal Church. Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to cook and especially enjoyed her dogs. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will take place at Blandford Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Michaels Episcopal Church.
