Barbara Sears Pearson

Barbara Sears Pearson, 69, of Hopewell, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Josephine Sears; sister, Rebecca Brooks; brother, John Sears; and father-in-law, Russell M. Pearson. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Pearson; five daughters, Jina Nicole Pearson, Mae Lyn Cone, Jo Ann Hernandez (Jorge), Marsha Chalky, and Rachel Parson (John); special son, Cowan Chalky; four grandchildren, Natasha Wheeler, Katherine Hernandez, Gabriela Hernandez, and Landon Chalky; siblings, Henry Sears, Ruby Edwards, and Charlie Sears; and mother-in-law, Anne M. McCullar. Mrs. Pearson was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for 49 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, S. Chesterfield, VA 23834. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Church. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA.
