Barbara Frazier Peterson

October 4, 1929 — June 5, 2018

Barbara Frazier Peterson, 88, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was born in Petersburg to the late Steven Irving Frazier and Lena Perdue Frazier. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John A. Peterson, Jr. She is survived by her son, John A. “Jay” Peterson, III. and his wife, Stacey; daughter, Kimberley Peterson; grandchildren, Sydney Peterson and Katie Peterson; sisters, Marjorie F. Williams and Ann Zuskin and her husband, Dickie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was a faithful, lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her beloved granddaughters. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
