Barbara Allen Phelps

Barbara Allen Phelps, 82, passed away on December 6, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Drew and Ella Long; brother, George Phelps; and husband of over 50 years, Louis Phelps. Barbara was a very loving mother and a devoted housewife. She loved her children and family very much. She is survived by her children, Sandy Crowder and Guy Phelps (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Dustin Phelps, Donovan Phelps, Cameron Phelps, Ashley Phelps, and Tommy Crowder; great-grandchildren, Joshua Sowers, Heather Sowers, Brianna Lynn, Kane Hawkins, Liam Tyler, Vada Louise, EeLan Victor Sowers, and Ila Mae Sowers; and great-great-grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Fiore, Kyler Bass, and soon to be great-great- grandchild George Oliver Phelps; as well as numerous extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 12 from 5:30-7:30 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Monday, December 13 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place following the funeral at the family cemetery.
