Barbara J. Pohlig

Barbara Joyner Pohlig, 84, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Born in Matoaca, VA she was the daughter of the late Vivian Clarence and Mary Susie Bowman Joyner; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ervin Pohlig, Sr.; a brother, Melvin Joyner; and a sister, Mary Thornhill. Mrs. Pohlig was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had retired from Phillip Morris after 30 plus years of service. Mrs. Pohlig is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pohlig Shelton and husband, Kent; a son, Henry Ervin Pohlig, Jr. and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Ricky Strickland, Linda Pohlig, Henry Pohlig, III, Eric Pohlig, Matthew Morrison, Timothy Morrison and Christopher Morrison; two great-grandchildren, Skylee and Karson Pohlig; a sister; three brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
