Barbara Tench Shannon

Barbara Tench Shannon, 75 of Prince George County passed away on Monday November 2, 2015 at Dinwiddie Health and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Tench Sr. and Mary Lacks Tench; husband, Forrest Wayne Shannon Sr.; her brother, Edwin Tench Jr.; and her sister, Joyce Harrell. Barbara was a longtime member of the Cawson Street Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Forrest Wayne Shannon Jr., Christian M. Shannon, Anissa Babb and her husband, Jason; her grandchildren, Austin Babb, Dustin Shannon, Devin Shannon, Daniel Hess; a great grandson, Landon Hess; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday November 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
