Barbara Sheffield

Barbara Newbold Sheffield, 67, of Waverly passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Barbara was a loving wife and mother who loved the simple things in life that bring family and friends together like going out to eat or just visiting. She enjoyed the sense of just knowing you were there and okay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beatrice Harmon Newbold and her son, Randy Joe Cowan.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lee Sheffield; sons, Carl Cowan, Kent Cowan, Dwayne Cowan and Shawn Cowan; stepchildren, Fayellen Brooks, Larry Sheffield and Mary Lane; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Waverly Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Chuck Wilman officiating. Burial will follow in the Waverly Cemetery.
