Barbara Scott Simmons

Barbara Scott Simmons, 80, of Hopewell, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Bernice Jordan Scott; and her husband, Fred A. Simmons, Sr. Barbara retired as a nursing supervisor with John Randolph Medical Center after many years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Duesing; son, Fred A. Simmon, Jr.; grandchildren, Ryan Amick, Jordan Amick, Elsa Simmons; great-grandsons, Kruz Amick, Karson Amick; her sisters, Sandi Belcher, Martha Jarrett, Ann Scottie; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
