Barbara Townsend

Barbara June Ogreen Townsend, 70, of Brook Avenue, Suffolk, VA died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Hurton, MI and had been a resident of this area for several years. Mrs. Townsend was the daughter of the late Harry and Blanche Ogreen. She is survived by her husband, George L. Townsend, Jr. of Suffolk, four daughters, Michelle Tibbs of Suffolk, Ginger Barrett, Carol P. Carmey, Jane Carmey, all of Michigan, three sons, George L. Townsend, III of Petersburg, David A. Townsend of Suffolk, Eric Carmey of Michigan, 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one sister, Lois Merrill of Zephyr Hills, FL. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 18, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 19, 2004 at 12:00 noon in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George County, with the Rev. Troy Kaichen officiating.
