Barbara Jean Weedon

Barbara Jean Weedon, 78, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port Royal, VA she was the daughter of the late Roy and Josephine Coghill; and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Kenny. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Jerome Weedon, Sr.; three children, Gail Weedon, Jerome Weedon, Jr. (Alice) and Dwayne Weedon; six grandchildren, Joshua, Heather, Katelyn, Austyn, Chandler and Skylar; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Gary Coghill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weedon had retired from the Department of Education after 41 years of dedicated service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May, 10, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
