Bart Nondo Zanon, Jr., 78, of Sutherland, VA acquired his wings on Thursday, November 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart Joe Zanon and Irene Ferrari Zanon; his wife of 42 years, Ethel Zanon; sisters, Margie Keep and Vivian Ramsey. He is survived by his Loving wife of 8 years, Linda Harrison; step sons, Owen Satterfield and wife, Mary; Michael Harrison and wife, Robbin; Brian Harrison; step grandchildren, Christopher Satterfield and wife, Tonya; Jordan Harrison, Makayla Harrison, Savannah Harrison, and Seth Harrison; great grandchildren, Collin Satterfield, Cameron Satterfield, and Harper Satterfield; brother, Mel Zanon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and many long time close friends. Bart retired from Verizon after many years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving 4 years on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War. His passion was helping others, traveling, tree cutting, and working on any motor. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Matoaca Baptist Church 6409 River Road, South Chesterfield, VA 23803 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Matoaca Baptist Church with Pastor Marco Smith. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. ] In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matoaca Baptist Church.
