Barton Adair Steffy

Barton Adair Steffy, 64, of Chester, passed away on January 6, 2014. Born in Canton, OH, he was the son of the late Willis Steffy and Mavis Felton Manning. Mr. Steffy was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during Vietnam. He was retired from DuPont and also attended Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church. Mr. Steffy is survived by his son, John Steffy and wife, Katrina; one daughter, Karli Merle and husband, Brandon; four grandchildren, Walker Steffy, Tabatha Mills, Gavin and Taj Merle; one great-grandson, Jayden Mickey; and his brother, Carter Steffy and wife, Ok Pun. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elizabeth Anderson, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Barton’s name.
