Beatrice ?Bea? McCarter Biggs, 78, of Petersburg, Virginia departed these earthly bonds on Monday, February 27, 2006. She is with her beloved husband, Kenneth Eugene Biggs, in the realm of our heavenly father upon relinquishing to the chronic illnesses that plagued her for numerous years. Beatrice was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to all she encountered. She was deeply rooted in her faith and instilled that faith in her children. Her strength from the Lord brought her through much suffering since the death of her husband, Kenneth, but she never wavered in her faith and glorified the Lord. The fabric of her life was mixed with strands of sorrow, patience, gold, and silver. The Master Weaver?s plans for her are complete. The loom is silent now, the canvas unrolled, and His plan revealed to illuminate a life of purpose in trusting and serving the Lord. She was a native of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; however, she lived in Petersburg, Virginia for over fifty-three years. She was the daughter of the late William Lee McCarter and Lottie Waddell McCarter. Her husband, Kenneth Eugene Biggs, preceded her in death on December 16, 1991. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Petersburg and a member of Eastern Star Alpha # 1. Surviving are her loving and devoted children and their spouses, Ronald D. Plyler (Cindy) of Chesterfield and Deborah B. Barksdale (James L.) of Dinwiddie County; four grandchildren Anissa, Charles, Tracy, and Barry; and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim McCarter of North Wilkesboro, NC; two sisters, Hazel Anderson (Jay) of Wilkesboro, NC and Erie McDaniel of Burlington, NC; sister-in-law, Sara Coredero-Cruz (Nate) of Hopewell, Virginia; special niece and nephew, Linda T.
