Ben-Lewis Koon

Ben-Lewis Koon, 84, of Petersburg VA, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017. He was the son of the late Rev. Lewis F. Koon and Mamie Mills Koon. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bruce Koon. Mr. Koon was an avid golfer and loved baseball. He was a faithful member of St. Marks United Methodist and loved his grandchildren dearly. He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Koon; son, David Lewis Koon (Sarah); daughter, Karen Ann Wolfe (Roger); grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Koon, Jacob Lewis Koon, Eli Matthew Koon, Virginia Anne Wolfe, and Ben August Wolfe; sister, Kay Penelope Santilli (Charles); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St. Marks United Methodist, 225 Claremont St. Petersburg, VA, 23805, Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Marks United Methodist in memory of Ben. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son.
