Bernadine Toombs Bulifant

Bernadine Toombs Bulifant, 68, of Carson, Virginia passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 20, 2012. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Annie Toombs. Bernadine retired from Prince George County Public Schools after more than 30 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Bulifant. Bernadine is survived by two sons, Brian Anderson, Chris Anderson and wife, Cindy; one very special granddaughter, Raven Anderson; and one grandson, Cole Elder; two sisters, Susan Upton and Phyllis Harrup; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; aunt, Janis Toombs; special family friends, Mary Ellen Pratt, Ann Poole, and Dana White; and numerous other friends and co-workers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday September 23, 2012 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday September 24, 2012 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Carson, Virginia.
