Bernard Turner Hare, Jr.

Bernard Turner Hare, Jr., 82, of Claremont, passed away peacefully in his home, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, to be with his Lord and Savior. Turner was born on March 14, 1941. He was a member of Lakemont Baptist Church and retired Owner of H & H Drywall in Disputanta, VA. He loved fishing, gardening, attending church, spending time with family, and friends. He loved to tinker with his sawmill and various things. Turner was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Turner Hare, Sr.; mother, Margaret Gore Hare; wife, Sandra Hare; and brother, Dennis Hare. Turner is survived by his brother, Donnie Hare (Gail); son, Kenneth Hare; daughter, Shari Hare Collins (Bert); step-son, Edward Bishop (Kim); step-daughter, Sherri Lefler (Levi); three grandchildren, Heather Smith (Zack), Autumn Smith (Erik), and Tori Hendrick; brother-in-law, Jerry Frazier (Debra); sisters-in-law, Becky Hare and Susan Hare; aunt, Addie Gore; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service with be held in his honor on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2 pm, at Tabernacle Methodist Church, 18027 Malones Road, Carson, VA. In lieu of flowers the family request that monetary donations be made to Crater Community Hospice in his honor.
