Bernice Lane

Bernice Butler Lane, age 88, of Norfolk, VA, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008. She was the daughter of the late William H. and Marie Moore Butler. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Lane and brother, W. Raymond Butler. She was a member of Glenwood Park Presbyterian Church, and a retired first grade teacher with 30 years service in the Hopewell and Norfolk City Public Shools. In 1980-1981 she was named Teacher of The Year at Meadowbrook Elementary. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Lee Lane of Norfolk, and a niece and nephew. The family will receive friends at the J. T.
