Bernice Beckwith King Tucker

Bernice Beckwith King Tucker, 93, of Petersburg, widow of Ashton Ford Tucker, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Rufus A. and Corea Floyd King. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Ashton Tucker and Thomas Arthur Tucker. Mrs. Tucker was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church. She is survived by a cousin, Maxine F. Adams of Orlando, FL; devoted friends, Bessie T. Jones, Edward B. Titmus, and Wanda V. Young. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West End Baptist Church, 6506 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. Services by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
