Bernice May Andrews Wyatt entered eternal rest on Friday, November 26, 2010, one day after celebrating her 90th birthday. She was the oldest life long member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wyatt was a retired employee of Chesterfield County Schools where she was part of the cafeteria staff at Matoaca High School for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Allen Andrews and Erzell Gertrude Andrews; sister, Eugenia Andrews; son-in-law, Edward R. Spain, Jr. and brother-in-law, Durward E. Wyatt. Mrs. Wyatt is survived by her children, Melvin Edward Wyatt, Sr. (Mary) and Martha Ann Wyatt Spain; grandchildren, Melvin Edward Wyatt, Jr. (Charlene), Shannon Wyatt Fahy (Josh) and Edward Preston Spain, Sr. (Karen); grandsons, Liam Fahy, Ryan Fahy, Logan Wyatt, Tanner Wyatt, Edward Spain, Jr., and Forrest Spain and sisters, Alice K. Andrews and Josephine Andrews Wyatt; nieces, Alice W. Campbell, Wanda W. Dabney, and JoAnn W. Jewell and several cousins. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Michelle Lindsey, pastor of Wesley Chapel UMC and Rev. James Taylor, former pastor of Wesley Chapel UMC officiating. Burial will follow at Gill Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
