Bessie Lewis

Bessie Hunter Lewis, 85, of Petersburg died on Thursday, October 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Philmore Hart and Maude Hunter Breedlove Hart and her husband, Robert B. Lewis. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Kenwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette Lewis Smith, and Betty Jane Ford and her husband, Bernie; grandchildren, Debbie George and Aaron Ford; great grandchildren, Rachel Bocock and Haley George; great great grandchild, Lucas Ronquest; sisters, Renotta Elder and Ida Renfroe and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park with Rev. T. Todd Smith officiating.
