Betty Conner

Betty Jo Conner, 74, of Petersburg, passed on Tuesday March 8, 2005 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Carlie and Pansey Matheney Beckner, and was predeceased by one sister, Helen Smith, and three brothers, Grover, Carl, and Billy Beckner. She is survived by four sons; Jesse A. Sherman of Darrington Washington, Joseph E. Sherman of Prince George Co., Jerry L. Monroe of Pine Top NC., Garry A. Monroe of Dillwyn, one daughter, Elizabeth M. Barlow of Chester, seventeen grandchildren , thirteen great grandchildren, four sisters; Lula Zingenfuss of Petersburg, Mildred Priest of Colonial Heights, Jessie Harris of Winston Salem, NC., Rebecca Dunn of Princeton, WVA., four brothers, Johnnie Beckner of Princeton WVA., George Beckner of Severan Park MD., Paul Beckner of Baltimore, MD., and Ray Beckner of Roanoke, VA. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight March 10, 7:00 to 8:30 PM. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel Friday March 11, at 11:00 AM, with Chaplin Jim Adams of Odyssey Health Care officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
