Betty Currin

Betty L. Taylor Currin, age 72, of Chester, VA, passed away on Friday, September 03, 2010. She was born in Farmville, VA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby Taylor. Mrs. Currin was also preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Taylor. She was an outstanding wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Currin was a graduate of Thomas Dale High School and member of Grace Lutheran Church for 40 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, C. F. â??Sonnyâ? Currin; four sons, Carthan Floyd Currin, III of Richmond, VA, William Bradley Currin and wife, Stephanie of Chester, Christopher Kent Currin and wife, Shannon of Manakin Sabot, and Alan Daniel Currin of Chester; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Currin; a brother, T. W. Taylor of Chesterfield, VA; and a sister-in-law, Rose Marie Anderson of Tampa, FL. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, September 6, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Chester. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
