Betty Hamlett

Betty Jean Hamlett, 63, of Wilsons, Va. died Wednesday, February 10, 2010. She was born in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur L. Ripley .and her son William Hamlett. Surviving are her husband, George R. Hamlett of Wilsons, Va., her sons, Raymond G. Hamlett and wife Michelle, George R. Hamlett, Jr., Scottie L. Hamlett and Curt W. Hamlett all of Hopewell, fourteen grandchildren, Dustin, & wife Melisa, Richard, Keleigh, Tiffany, Elizabeth, Brandi, Mariah, Brandon, Shane, Brenton, Haley, Kyla, Brooke,and Ciara, four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Faith, Dustin, Jr., Hope, her mother, Katherine Miller Eades of Richmond, a sister, Joan F. Robinson of Richmond, two brothers, Edwin L. Ripley of Dinwiddie County, and Curtis H. Eades of Richmond, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, February 15, 2010 from 6-8 pm in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ivan Perkinson, officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Blackstone.
